Oyako - Parent and Child - Judo!
In January, two year olds, working with their parents – and a big stuffed tiger – will be able to enjoy Hanabi Judo in our “Oyako” or Parent and Child class. Children will learn how to fall safely, sing enthusiastically, speak Japanese and follow instructions like a real judo kid. Sign up today!
December Promotions
We have begun December testing. Every student will be tested during December. Our belt promotion ceremony, for those receiving new belts, will be on Wednesday, December 20, at 6:45 pm. Shima promotions will be $35 and new belts will be $50.
Kids' Night Out!
Our monthly Kids’ Night Out will be on Saturday, December 9th from 6 PM to 9:30 PM. We will be watching Frozen, eating pizza, playing games, and having fun! Cost: $35 with $5 for pizza (optional). Please RSVP by 5 PM on Friday December 8th.
Annual Awards Pot Luck
Please wear your white uniform and come with your family to our Annual Award’s Pot Luck on December 13th at 5:30 PM! There will be awards for many of our special students and their families. Please bring your favorite dish to share!
Dan Augustine Sensei with French Teachers
Judo in France is extremely popular and it can be found in many schools. Instructors who head up the French judo in schools program will be in LA this week and Dan Augustine will be with them, learning things that can improve our classes here at Hanabi.
