January In-Class Shiai

Friday, January 26 will be our monthly in-class shiai, or tournament. 5:30 will be the Hajime and Chibi classes’ sumo tournament followed at 6:30 by the Honto Class’ judo tournament. We hope everyone will come to participate or watch!

De Leon Open Work Out

Join us for the De Leon Open Work Out on Saturday, January 27, 2024, from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm at DeLeon Judo Club located at 150 Fairgrounds Dr, Petaluma. All Honto students are encouraged to participate in this event. For those who wish to travel together with Sensei Dan, we will be meeting at Hanabi at 9:00 am.

Team Hanabi Orientation

Wednesday, January 31 at 6:45 will be the date of our Orientation for parents interested in taking part in Team Hanabi 2024. The team is for our serious competitors who will represent Hanabi at judo activities in Northern California and across the country. We will talk about scheduling and expectations. Please come!

Oyako

January Oyako – Parent and Child – Judo! Beginning January 20, two year olds working with their parents will be able to enjoy Hanabi Judo in our “Oyako” or Parent and Child class. Children will learn how to fall safely, sing enthusiastically, speak Japanese and follow instructions like a real judo kid. Oyako Classes will be on Mondays at 3:45 pm and on Saturday mornings at 8:15 am.

Pokemon Summer Camp

Registration for Pokemon Summer Camp is open! We have camps in Alameda, Piedmont and in Albany for 11 weeks. Super fun for kids from 5 to 15.
