Golden State Open!
Over a dozen Hanabi judoka will join over 1000 judo players at the Golden State Open tournament in Los Angeles this coming weekend. Last year Hanabi took multiple medals and came home with several champions. We are looking forward to doing even better this year!
Memorial Day
Hanabi will be closed Monday, May 27th in celebration of Memorial Day.
Black Belt Promotion
May 29 will not be just our belt promotion ceremony but our black belt promotion ceremony. We will watch the kata performance of our candidate that we expect to be promoted to “shodan” first degree black belt. This month all students will be testing for their next higher shima or belt. Promotions for “shima” is $35 while belt promotion is $50.
Summer Camp Discounts
All Hanabi Judo members get 1/2 off of their monthly tuition if they enroll in a week of Hanabi’s Pokemon Summer Camp during any summer month this year. We have 11 weeks of camp in Albany starting on June 10 and going through August 23. We’d love to have you with us!
Women’s Judo Class!
Our Thursday Women’s Judo Class has proven to be a hit! From 7:15 to 8:45 pm our 5th degree black belt, Cheryl Sensei has been leading this energetic class and was just joined by another Hanabi black belt, Yvonne Sensei. Learn basic judo fall safely, gain strength and confidence. Become a part of our women’s judo community.
Thursday “Little Honto”
Join our Thursday Honto, “Real”, judo class for our smaller judo players from 5 to 10 years. The class will be from 5:45 to 7:15 and will focus on fun, active judo that prepares our little ones to be strong judo players and strong people.
