New September Classes, Labor Day and More!

New September Classes

Beginning in September Tuesdays will be a bit more fun.  4:00 will be our Hajime class, which is currently at 4:30. Then at 5:05 we will have a new “Little Honto Class” for our younger students ready to do real judo. At 6:35 will be “Otona no Judo” or adult judo for beginners. All of our Hanabi parents get a free month of this energetic new class.  Fun!

Bojuka Tournament

Bojuka Judo’s annual tournament in Seaside, near Monterey, is on Sunday August 27. All students who’d like to attend should confirm with Sensei.

Labor Day

Labor Day is Monday September 4 and we will not be having classes.

Solano Stroll

Sunday, September 10 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Hanabi will be participating in the Solano Stroll. We will have a booth at Masonic and Solano and will present judo demonstrations and talk to our neighbors about Hanabi.

Special Training at Tamayo’s Judo in Los Altos

A special group of Hanabi students attended August 20th’s Special Training at Tamayo’s Dojo in Los Altos. There were over 80 local judoka present and Hanabi’s students trained hard and looked good. Congratulations to Theo R., Taiyo, Keiden, Chelsea, Jargal, Bach and Raangzen. Fun, fun, fun!
