This past weekend Hanabi had a small, but very powerful, little group attend Fresno Judo Club’s tournament. We had 11 matches and won 9 of them by full point! Bitore won one of his three matches and ended in third place. Juliessa, fighting in her own division but also a co-ed division with bigger and older girls and boys, won all 8 of her 8 matches by full point and returned home with two gold medals! Congratulations to both and a special thanks to Yurii Sensei and our Hanabi families for driving 4 hours each way to support our little athletes!
Our Sunday, November 9, Hanabi Classic Judo Tournament will be held at Hanabi Judo. You can register on our website www.hanabijudo.com/events/HanabiClassicTournament. All students in the Honto class are required to attend. We will be welcoming guests from across Northern California!
