Our monthly Kids’ Night Out will be Saturday, May 9th! From 6 PM to 9:30 PM. We will be watching Pokemon Movie, eating pizza, playing games, and having fun! Cost: $40 with $5 for pizza (optional). Please RSVP by 5 PM on Friday March 8th.

May is the month we promote black belts and we have two 2026 candidates: Marty and Charlee. All Hanabi students will be tested for a higher level of shima (stripe) or belt in May. Students generally need 5 shimas before they receive a higher belt but sensei can decide to expedite promotions. Testing is done continuously throughout the month until all of our students have been tested. Belt promotion ceremony will be on Wednesday, May 27, at 6:45 pm. Come and watch! Shima promotions will be $35 and new belts will be $50.
Hanabi Summer PokeCamp is an active Pokemon-filled adventure that includes judo, Japanese language and culture, and lots of physical activity. We paint, fold, draw, trade and talk Pokemon from June 8 through August 22 in Albany, Alameda and Piedmont. Join us!
